Convenience store management software for shifts, stock and dated lines
Long trading hours, rotating casual shifts and fast-moving dated stock. OPZAIQ handles the sign-on, the daily takings against target, the counts and the expiry dates on food lines.
Shifts that cover the whole day
Convenience trade runs early to late with a casual roster that changes weekly. Staff sign on and off from their own phone with a PIN, breaks are deducted, and daily and weekly hours build themselves — so the timesheet is not reconstructed at the end of the fortnight.
Clocked hours sit next to rostered hours, which is where the wage cost of a long trading day is either controlled or lost.
Dated stock in a fast-moving store
Milk, sandwiches, bakery and chilled lines all date. OPZAIQ tracks intakes as batches with expiry dates and rotates oldest-first, and the countdown shows what has to move today rather than what was thrown out yesterday.
| What it handles | How it works |
|---|---|
| Shift sign-on | PIN sign-on and sign-off with automatic break deduction. |
| Daily takings | Cash, card and delivery takings entered once per day against target. |
| Fast-moving counts | Counts and reorder points on core lines per store. |
| Expiry on food lines | Batches with use-by dates and an oldest-first rotation. |
| Shift checklists | Opening, closing, cash-up and fridge checks completed on the floor. |
| Multi-site view | Every store's takings, hours and completion compared in one place. |
The routine, done every shift
Opening, closing, cash-up, fridge checks and restocking are set per store and completed on the phone, with who and when recorded. For multi-site owners, completion across stores is one view.
Common questions
Does OPZAIQ handle fuel or lottery sales?
Those stay in your POS or terminal. OPZAIQ records the day's takings entered by the store, plus the operations around them: hours, stock, expiry, checklists and invoices.
Can I stop staff entering takings twice?
Yes. Each store is limited to one takings entry per day, so weekly totals always match the entries behind them.
Is it workable for a single store?
Yes, and additional stores can be added to the same account later without reconfiguring the first one.
